Jan Hill Jan founded her consulting company in
1990, following a successful 10-year career with Procter &
Gamble where she led her sales team to a #1 ranking for 3
consecutive years in the competitive paper consumer products
business.She has established a proven track record as a consultant
and trainer in industries ranging from technology (Microsoft
Corporation, Intuit Inc., Interim Technology) to consumer goods
(Procter & Gamble, Quaker Oats, 3M Corporation, Fresh Express
Farms) to utilities (Pacific Gas & Electric, Southern
California Edison), to government (U.S. Department of
Defense, Los Angeles Bureau of Family Support) and
banking (City Commerce Bank
).
Jan is an impassioned advocated of the
benefits of a diversified work force. Her book, Smart Women, Smart Moves
, was released in 1994 and captures her
experience and learning from her work with professional women and
their organizations.
With Microsoft Corporation as a
client for 6 years, Jan has helped author three consulting oriented
training programs currently in their curriculum: Consulting
Principles and Practices, Advancing Your Consulting Skills, and
Managing Customer Expectations. She has enjoyed teaching these
courses to diverse audiences of Microsoft employees and Partners
around the world.
Jan is certified in Insight Profiles®,
the 360-degree feedback process owned by TEAMS Inc., and the
Personal Directions® assessment tool from Management Research Group.
She is currently in the process of becoming certified in Target
Training International's Personal Insights Profile™, which includes
the popular DISC behavioral analysis. She is also a certified
practitioner of the Grove Consultants International's Strategic
Visioning Process.
Jan lives in Santa Barbara, California and spends her free
time reading, golfing, hiking, and adventuring.
